Does what it needs to do. I just wish that there was an option for USB type C connection instead of the old type A.

Great product with tons of storage at a great price. I've owed many of these over the years and each time I need to go bigger i choose what I know to be reliable and at a great price.

Bought this 4TB disk when it went on sale. Luckily i haven't had any usb disk failures so far. would be nice to have password protection built-in. Used mac's disk utility to encrypt the disk.

I purchased this product for my son who is a college student and now an employed Graphics professional, needing serious & reliable back-ups of his work in both arenas. The size of the device is key!!!

I was not able to load WD Backup program. After trying numerous times and trying to get help that I could understand I decided to just use the backup program on my computer. That worked fine. As extra peace of mind I also copied all of my photos and documents to the hard drive as well just in case the backup didn’t work.

It's awesome. It has so much storage. Great addition to the home.

I've been using this external HD on my PS4 for awhile to install games, and it has been stable with no failure. It is great for installing games on it so my console is always free of space.

As a student and a teacher, I find that I needed my information in several places, purchasing this storage device helped with that problem. I always have the information with me no matter where I am.

1st item delivered was already opened and was not functioning, went to physical store near me and they changed it to a brand new one that function as described. Currently using it to store pictures and videos from phone.

added this to my network drive and it performed wonderfully.was very happy with read and write speed that I got with it.I would consider buying another one someday soon.

make sure you run it on your computers usb not a hub or it will not have enough power to spin up at full speed.

4 TB external for only $99 is a steal. I needed expandable storage for my PS4 as it was running out of space, and this was what I bought. I don't regret my purchase at all. Completely worth it.
