I have multiple WD external drives and will pick one up if I see one at a good price - this was about the price of a previous 2TB purchase so happy about that - with increasing file sizes (pics, videos, etc) I always seem to be on the lookout for additional back-up storage.

I found these to be super easy to use. I always get nervous that I’ll lose the content due to other reviews but that hasn’t happened yet. Can be formatted easily to go between Mac and windows

Bought this to use with my other Western Digital HD for my Xbox One X. Got this for $100, which seemed like a good deal to me. HD is so small and sleek. Love it and transfer speeds seem fast enough. On my way to pick up my Xbox One X tonight with my 9 TB of external storage.

I haven't bought one of these in over 10 years and I am amazed at how compact and fast they have gotten. Very happy with this purchase since I got it on sale and I feel like I got a great deal for the amount of storage provided. I use it as a backup for my laptop files and the transfer rates seem very good and it's plug and play, very easy to use. Would purchase again and WD is a trusted brand when it comes to these types of devices.

I use it to store PS4 and PS5 games on my PS5 to save space internally. It does as it should and reads the games efficiently. Might need more space down the road but this is suffice enough.

I purchased this drive for use an external HDD with my Nvidia shield. I was concerned that the lack of SSD might prove too slow, but the tested read/write speeds are fine and seem to be comparable to the internal drive that comes with the device. The reason I've given it 4 rather than 5 stars is that occasionally when set as an external (rather than expandable) drive, the drive will shut off and it takes a bit for it to wake/be recognized by the shield.

Great little portable drive. I use it when traveling as a storage space for movies. It's response time is good and works great!

What a great deal! 4 TB and it's pretty portable too! It's the size/weight of the 1 TB from a few years ago, very mobile. Bring everything with your laptop wherever you go!

I need it more hard drive space to back up my audio, pictures and video files, that I couldn't let the opportunity pass me by, I bought on sale and enjoy the ease of operation, just plug and play. DLC

I purchased the hard drive for my Xbox One. I now have all my games stored on it, and I haven’t noticed any issues. Now, I should have plenty of space to add more games in the future. I highly recommend it for those looking to add storage space to their video game systems.

I used this hdd to augment the space on my Xbox One X. I was able to just plug it in to an open usb slot on the back of the console, and after a brief fomat (was auto prompted to do so), I was ready to transfer my current library of games over within a number of minutes.

Works like a charm. This is my 2nd one. Easy to use easy to setup

As a cinematographer I go through hard drives fast and I need lots of storage. Normally I work off my internal drive and transfer files of to external for safe keeping, but this drive is so fast that I can even work off of it while editing 4K videos! Absolutely amazed!

I have only used the drive for a short time but so far it has been fast and no issues. I am using the 4tb drive to backup a few of my computers. I had been using larger external hd that required external power. I make periodic image backups of the pc's and then store the backup drive in safe deposit box. The smaller form factor helps when you have limited space in the safe deposit box. I would like to go to a NAS but so far this is a cheaper route.

This is just what I needed... it was so easy to connect this to my laptop... so for ease of comfort I have to say 10 plus.. and it's fast I mean really fast.

This USB 3.0 external hard drive is fast, sturdy, very well-priced and convenient. I bought it because I had to back up data from my PC which has 3 separate 1TB hard drives. I had literally no easy way to back up my data before I did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro, until I bought this item. This little drive has enough space for all the data I wanted to save, and an extra TB on top, just in case. This thing is already on my "have before you leave the house" list. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone as a must have. You never know when you might need it, and at $100 for 4TB, it's a no-brainer.

USB3.0 interface with plenty of HD space to store files. I connected it to a wireless router with USB3.0 interface and worked perfectly as a network drive. Would recommend to anybody looking for a portable hard drive with plenty of HD space. 4TB for $79 is a steal!!!!
