I have a terabyte worth of ssd's in my pc. But that wasnt nearly enough for all my home avchd videos. This drive fits the bill, without spending too many. Quality construction. Transfer speed is acceptable. Was plug and play with windows 10. Well worth the price.

Easy uses with 3.0 usb powered, very small as pocketable, fast enough on transfer large files, great price on sale, will buy more soon when it’s on sale again...

Great price, size and function all in one. I use for my Plex server media storage and works great. I always use WD for storage and I'm sure to have many years service out of it.

Video files take up A LOT of space. This is a reliable, stable external storage for my church work for online worship. Quick connection and transfer speeds helps me get my work done in an efficient manner.

Small drive with lots of space. USB powered, so no power supply needed! I have two of these -- use one with my Xbox One for storage and the other as a backup for photos and personal items. When formatted as a FAT32 drive, expect around 3.6 TB of available space.

The portability of this hard drive is amazing. It is really small and packs 4 TB of storage which is plenty for my needs. The USB 3.0 connection is really fast.

I purchased this drive to use as an offsite backup for files from my NAS server. Drive works well and is reasonably fast for such a small package. Not as fast as the easy store desktop drive, but, it is also not as large and does not require external power supply.

I like the WD hardrives better than Seagate. This has a lot of storage and seems durable (I'm not going to risk dropping it to find out), is faster than most hard drives (since this one is USB 3.), and is affordable. If you want to future proof, this one is a good place to start based on price and storage capacity. That said, if you can find a 3.1 hard drive with 4 TB it's worth looking into- if Western Digital comes out with a 4TB hard drive with USB 3.1, I'm guessing that will be the better option to future proof even if it's more expense than this one.

I have always been super satisfied and happy with Best Buy! I bought this hard drive at a great deal and it works great, I won’t lose all my photos anymore. I bought 3 and I would have bought more if they were not out of stock when the deal was still available.

We purchased the portable hard drive to back up our Dish Hopper. It worked perfectly.

If you have a ton of data to store and dont mind somewhat long load times, this is great.

I can't use th ecloud for backups because of my remote location with slow upload speed. I use these devices as my dependable and always ready storage. It is fast and dependable.

I needed something I could backup my laptop to so tha if I had serious problems with it I could easily transfer all of my items to a new laptop if the other one could not get fixed. That way I would not loose my pictures, music, or any of my important data.

This hard drive is compact and easy to use. It's size makes it convenient for travel and at 4TB, its extreme storage capabilities will outlast most users needs.
