I bought two, and opened one to use as an internal drive(the other will be an external backup for the first.) You will something to pry the case, a #1 philips to remove the adapter board and pliers or a #10 Torx to remove the standoff pegs. The model number on the one I opened is WD40EMRX, a 5400RPM, 64mb cache WD Red NAS drive, just as others have said. Pic of label attached. You are NOT guaranteed to get the same drive, though- some people get blues! The enclosure is very sturdy, but the plastic clips holding it together are not. Glue or tape will be necessary to re-use the enclosure.

Plain and Simple Easy To Use External Hard Drive. Good To Save A Lot Of Files You Don't Want To Lose. I Specifically Got This To Save All Of My Photos On My Laptop Because My MacBooK Didn't Have Enough Space.

To give some perspective, I have a 500 GB harddrive on my Xbox One S since I bought it. I have been able to fit around 7 to 14 games on it since then. With this 4GB hard drive, I already have around 30+ games that are Xbox 360 and Xbox One games (not 4K yet) and its not even taking up 20% of the harddrive space. Honestly, the 2TB portable harddrive in this same line is $60 right now (as opposed to this 4GB at $119). I would just get the 2TB one at the $60 and you're getting your money well spent. Its perfect for Xbox One S or Xbox One X (I imagine it works great for PC or PS4/Pro). 5/5 would buy again. Thing is way smaller than expected.

It's disappointing that it doesn't have the encryption software like MyPassport storage, but anyways it's a good pick when on sale. I got it for 80 bucks. If you don't care about speed that much and only affordable and large storage the it's a reliable choice.

Some months back I purchased the 4TB Easystore. I use it for storing MP4 video files. I also plug it into the back of my WD MyCloud NAS drive to access the video files I saved to the 4TB Easystore drive via my network wifi. The 4 TB Easystore drive is fast even when accessing my files thru the NAS on my wifi. The 4TB Easystore is compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 (which is faster). The 4TB Easystore is also very quiet. It is a good choice for additional storage when you need it.

I purchased this HDD to use as an extended storage.. I have had no issues with this product, works great. So much space left after transferring my data from primary.
