Works very well. Plug and play. I'm using it with an external CD drive and it reads and writes quickly.

I purchase an external hard drive almost very year, and backupy computers to them frequently. This prodictis great and capacity can't be beat.

This drive has surprisingly fast read and write speeds for a portable this large. It's whisper quite, and very compact for carrying in a computer and camera bag or a brief case. I use it both for a drive backup for my laptop and as a backup transfer drive for my DSLR camera on photo shoots. The build is solid, and the drive has held up well even with all the trips I have had it on.

So far so good. Having to reformat the drive for a Mac was a hassle especially since there was no separate manual explaining how to do so, but otherwise, the drive has been working well so far.
