There are better drives out there, namely Seagate. BB does not sell Seagate. As an owner of a data recovery company, I can tell you why I go with Seagate, but I'll probably get sued :) If this is to be an intermittent-duty drive, then this 4TB will work fine. Remember, as the TB storage increases (all high TB drives have this problem) these drives tend to be a lot more fragile. Be very careful when moving this drive, if it is running. So, why did I go with a WD when I could have purchased a Seagate online? Buying at a local brick and mortar store creates local jobs. I buy everything locally because I want to see my neighbors employed.

4 TB External Hard Drive

Set is easy and I can transfer docs and photos from the broken on to this new one.
