Small, very handy, and has tons of storage... good price

Just what I needed to store the items I don't wish to store on my computer

I'm using it with a Raspberry PI for low cost NAS device. Works great.

Standing in Costco, another shopper and myself were both pondering 4 TB Hard Drives. We were both doing searches on our phones and started sharing reviews and prices we saw on line and comparing them to Costcos offering. We both decided to purchase these 4 TB drives from Best Buy. Really helps to be able to comparison shop while in a store to ensure the best product at a nice price. I'm still setting this up. I decided to read the users manual (first time ever on an external drive), but I've lost so much data in the past on external drives, that I thought it might save me some time and headaches down the road if I figured out what I was doing, since this drive will become my main backup. I'm bothered by the frequent software updates to the drive. Probably 4 or 5 in 2 months. I'm worried that it might be software or services I'll never use that's taking up space. I wish there was something I could plug in and start adding files to without all these "dashboards" and other "utilities" that I don't have time to read about. Ughhh! Although I'm fairly computer literate, I just want to "use" my computer gear -- not have to "maintain" so many pieces of software and apps.

Never really needed this because my current 1TB Seagate drive proved to be sufficient.

I use my GoPro and camera a lot, so I have lots of footage with lots of GBs of data, so this is perfect to hold all my data

I purchased this external hard to supplement my 128gb SSD drive. I have a MacBook and it was almost full. Took the product home and plugged it in and Time Machine, in the MacBook, reformatted it in minutes and setup automatic backups for me. I would highly recommend this product to friends or anyone who needs a large portable drive.

I used to buy the 1 Tb hard drives. When I see this one, and it was with a $110 discount, I didn't think twice. It is huge.

I bought this on a whim because it was on sale for $100 and it was a great decision. It's incredibly easy to set up and stores a simply massive amount of data. I've been using for a few weeks, moving files between it and my other smaller external hard drives, and it's been reliably fast and with no issues whatsoever.
