I've been using the WD external HD for many years now. They have never let me down. This version is bigger and faster and still retains that small and easy to transport size.

Must have product for greater use. It has large 5 TB storage and its 3.0 support for faster file transfers. Includes connecting cable and its very compact in size for travel purposes.

Great portable external drive with plenty of storage. USB 3.0 makes it snappy. DOn't know if it's shuckable. I wanted it as an external for backups and vids. It has a standard mechanical HDD inside.

Great extra storage, you especially need for the ps5 to put all your ps4 games on it, or else you will run out of space really quick on the ps5. So fast enough not to feel any wait or load time. Great product.

5TB (5000GB or so) of data that you can fit in your pocket, and around $100 usually? And all you need is a USB port fast enough to keep up (usually USB 2 and up will do). My PS4 and PS5 had limits on how many PS4 games they could store for playing. With how PS5 and PS4 can pick up and play fully installed digital content from an external drive, I decided to get myself a big enough drive to accommodate my growing PS4 library. Despite it being USB 3, and PS4/5 having fast data read speeds on their ports, we're still dealing with a physical hard disk as the slowest component of the overall speed here. But it is a fair tradeoff. If you're willing to wait a little for a PS4 game to load (based on how big it is), then the price for storage is a fair trade. Anything faster will be an SSD, but SSD pricing can get crazy (a 2TB can be in the $100-200 range depending on quality, but going higher than that will exponentially bump the price up). Overall, it's a good drive. Just be sure to turn your consoles off (not rest, turn off) before you unplug it, disconnect the cable at both sides so you don't worry about it getting bumped or bent, and keep the drive stored in a space where it won't get bumped, dinged, hit, damaged, or destroyed.

So far, the unit is working perfectly. It was plug and play and the included software makes it easy to set up automatic backups. It is very compact which definitely makes it easily portable.

A bit slow transferring files, however the amount of space and for the price is perfect to store files.

This WD Hard Drive is fast and reliable. I use it primarily for storage of important files. I now have several of thee drives and neveral have had any problem with any of them.

I have a few of these, replacing older/bigger drives. These give large capacity in a small case. They work great, and Best Buy has consistently had the best price every time I need to buy one. How do you beat that?

Excellent buy for my Xbox 1. Needed more storage for games and this did the job. Just plug, format thru Xbox and you're set. Takes not more than 3 minutes for entire process.
