Not portable but does the job! A bit hard to set up if using Mac but works just fine

Advertised as usable on a Mac but you have to reformat it before you can use it on a mac. Getting it reformatted required a call to the WD user support line to walk me through how to format it using their app as the normal Mac format tools wouldn't touch the drive. After getting it formatted it worked fine.

Bought it to use with my Xbox One X as my previous external was smaller and had performance issues. This drive is fast and hasn’t given me a single problem yet. Although with any hard drive I always recommend getting the geek squad extended warranty because you DO NOT want to go through Western Digital if anything should happen down the line. Trust me on that one. WD will try to fight you tooth and nail to avoid a replacement and even if they do honor the warranty you will only be given a refurb. With Geek Squad it’s a simple exchange in and out no questions asked!

Worked well. I have since switched to the smaller easystores, since I had one of these die on me (it happens though), and the larger size is harder to store. Also, I would highly recommend taking the extra time to find their old backup software; the new version bloated my computer.

So far so good. An 8TB external at this price was too good to be true but I gave it a shot and so far very happy. Easy to set up and transfer from computer to hard drive. Accessing unit is quick and smooth.

This is a very large external drive. It is relatively fast USB3 for an 8 TB drive.

WD 8TB drives do the trick and are plenty fast. I prefer WD to Seagate even though they are owned by the same folks these days.

Needed a larger HD so picked this one up. No problems and copies files quickly. I always stick with WD for my harddrive needs.

At $160 for 8 TB of storage, I feel this is a great value. I use it for external PS4 storage and it formatted and works without issue. Highly recommend.

I have purchased a WD drive previously in store, This is better because of the USB 3 connection. Fast and lots of space!

This external hard drive works great and is very easy to use. The external hard drive holds a lot of pictures and documents.

Excellent value for money. Latency of this drive is low. Running videos seamlessly from it.
