These 8 TB WD drives are solid, reliable and fast for Spiny drives. The drive inside is basically a WD Red 8 TB and it's a great value.

Got this hard drive for work. I needed something to backup some large digital xray files. This is my 3rd WD drive and I love them. You just plug it in and the software automatically loads. 8TB is about as much storage as I'll ever need. Great drive.

Love the ease of set up and tons of storage for storing files and picture take and scanned over the years. Designed with ease of handling in mind.

8TB is a lot of space. If this ever goes on sale make sure you get it ASAP. It runs quietly and the black polished case makes it blend in.

8tb is a nice size to hold lots of files and clean up your drives. The test of time will tell how reliable it is so we shall see, but so far awesome.

Not bad for storqge but programming included is a bit confusing. One progrqm you have to download and then purchase full versiom and security program doesnt even work.

This unit is excellent for the price. It is easy to set up and use. Makes a little bit more noise than a portable hard drive and is always on, but a great product overall. Would like to see an standby feature be implemented so it's not running 24 hrs a day.

Hard drives are working as expected my only complaint is that the drives get a little warm in the provided enclosure. I'm glad I picked these up before the prices sky rocketed.

When I first saw the price it was hard to believe. This will be an excellent storage device for my Plex Media Server. and it's a USB 3.0 connection

It is certainly plenty big enough for most applications. And although the larger size means some reduction in seek time, it is adequate for most applications - certainly if using for back-up or archiving. Connecting and installing is simple and easy.

Inside these enclosures are WD Red hard drives. The drives are excellent and can be shucked if you're willing to void your warranty.

Nice external drive for $175. It would be faster if it was 3.1, but I am getting about 200MB/sec out of it. Not being powered from USB is a plus, especially if you got a bunch of external drives. Like all the WD products I have experienced, it is well made and should last a long time.

Very easy to set up. Hooked up to my PS4 and was downloading games within minutes. It has worked flawlessly

This size makes a great storage space for movies and large photo collection.
