Great external storage for the price. Easy to use and fast backup solution especially if you have USB 3.0 but backwards compatible. Will buy more of these external drives.

great price for an 8TB external hard drive. great for extra space when you hook up to a XBOX ONE.

Easy to install and use as a major backup drive for me

Great drive for the price when I bought it on the deal of the day. Haven't had any issues thus-far.

I have been blown away by the gigantic capacity and easy use of the WD 8TB external hard drive. It's like having your own server with capacity I can't imagine ever using up!

So I needed a external HDD to store some pictures and other documents that was clogging my SSD drive up. I see this baby with 8TB of disk space and think "why not?" I unboxed it, plugged it into power, plugged the USB cable into the HDD and the other in to my USB 3.0 slot (make sure you plug it into the blue USB slot to get the full speed of USB 3.0). No mess, no fuss, it was off to the races. Took about 20 minutes to move a TB of info from my SSD to the USB, but some of the files were rather large. I found it faster moving the same amount of space, but with smaller files. Anyway so far so good.

This came as a WD White Drive (Red with white label) for a lot less $$ than a WD Red from anywhere else. I've purchased about a dozen of these and none have had any issues!

This had a WD White Label EDAZ air filled drive. I was skeptical of the temperatures since I heard the air drives ran hotter than the helium filled ones. When I tested it with WD DLG it did get hotter than my other drives but once I shucked it and put it in the server where there was better airflow it cooled right down. As of right now it is running the same temp as my 8TB EMAZ's and EFAX's, about 35C at idle. So far, so good.

Plugged into the USB on the router. Instant network storage device! Great price per GB. Streams video and audio flawlessly throughout the house!

Has many great features. Easy to install and set up. Has added a lot of room for games.

I buy these cause of the great price, I actually remove them from the enclosure and use them in a raid setup, they are perfect for that, never an issue

Bought this to replace a smaller external drive. Would recommend this for users that want a high-value, easy to install and use storage device!

I've had this for two years now, and it's still working great. It's quiet enough that I don't hear it at all, and it's about two feet away from me.

I purchased for my son because it was such a good deal. same price as a 4TB. Works well so far.

I use this for storing video files. Plugged in in and was running immediately. Transfers quickly and can backup the computer to it also. Great deal

Upgraded to a larger hard drive, when a older one began to fail and was able to retrieve the data files and move to the new WD external USB with ease.

Seems very reliable, a little slower than what I'm used to though

Bought this drive to help clear our 4K storage on our server. 8TB on sale for $169....I couldn't believe it. Great drive and saved us to get our workflow going again
