Relatively cheap, reliable drive. The drive is also shuckable (although it may void the warranty).

The external hard drive is necessary that you need to store your information because your laptop o computer could be slow due to the limited capacity of your devices.

Bought two of these to use for offloading games from my Playstation & Xbox consoles. Helps to free up space on the game drive and you can actually use it to play the games when you connect to the colsole. They were on sale for a great price & way less than the PS or Xbox branded external drives with less capacity.

I have 3 of these, they're great for storing movies and backing up data. Not a bad price $17.50/TB

Very good deal from Best Buy on a 8TB external drive. Perfect for my needs, slow to load via USB3, but has sustained faultless streaming of HD movies so far. Bought the 2 year replacement coverage for an extra $20 just in case.

Great Product. I have 7 of these drives. Most are larger than 8TB but 8TB is the largest drive to use with sony Playstation 4 and 5.

I purchased this to back up my mac and boy does it deliver. Backed up my computer with ease and still have plenty of memory to spare.

I've been using the hard drive for a ps4 extension drive, since 8tb is the max and usb 3.0 min required. It's been great so far.

Got this to expand my old computer that was full and running terribly. Works good for that purpose although at times can be a little slow to access.

Western Digital hard drives, I believe are hands down the best external drives out there. I owned a 1tb, 2-3tb, and a 4tb seagate hard drives and within 2 years of purchase regretted it when everything was lost on all of them due to different issues with the drives. Ive owned a toshiba ehd wasnt bad, but currently have several WD hard drives, 6 to be exact with the oldest being 11 years old, and never has a single issue with any of them. WD is the only way to go and the price is comparable to any other!

These external hard drives contain highly reliable NAS quality drives in them, so for the price (often on sale) they can't be best!

purchased this on sale, Lots of extra reliable storage - works great - setup was very easy, plug and play.

It's a 5400 or a 5900 RPM drive but the track density is high enough to generate excellent read and write rates. Read and write speeds on uncluttered outer tracks run close to 200 MB per sec. I'd recommend this drive to a friend. I've owned Western Digital drives in the past and have consistently been satisfied with their value. (I did purchase a WD drive that had performance issues (from the start) - Best Buy allowed me to exchange it with no pushback.) Kudos, Best Buy!

Especially if you are shucking it. In this model you will find an 8TB RED seagate in there. Making this a great value

It seems to be a good external hard drive. I have had no problems with it. As some people commented, it is a bit loud when it is working but I wouldn't say that its to the point of being annoying or anything. Just noticeable.
