fly right on down to best buy if you want some good machines,but make sure you've got a decent computer that can keep up with its revolutionary 5gb speed--i had to get a new one because my old one was always catching up-

I love this unit allowed me to have me cell phone storage back.

Quit working within 16 months. Lost my data and had to buy a new backup drive. Additionally, the cable port was very flimsy, and never stayed connected, making ongoing backups impossible without manually doing them.

The unit was noisy especially if placed horizontally. Good price though for 8TBs of storage. Unfortunally I had to return it as it was too distracting (I sat right next to it and I could hear it humming even with the TV on).

Was able to back up everything that I needed. Does a good job.

We use this WD Easystore for backups for three computers: two desktops and one laptop, which we use in different ways for different projects. This Easystore External HD takes care of all our needs to protect and save our work, and we can use different backup programs for saving. I love how inexpensive these drives are and they still come with WD Reds in them although they are just white labeled.

I used to purchase Seagate drives only but am finding that they fail at a pretty high rate. Over the years I 've had 6 or 7 die and lost data. The WD drives don't seem ot have that problem and the price is very competitive.

I bought the is external drive as a backup for my MacBook Pro. I reformated for Ventura. It is working flawlessly.

Good HD for storing games. Easy hook up. Lots of game storage.

Shucked and found the same WD drive as previous model. The case is slightly different but the shucking procedure is the same.

Havent had any issues with this so far. It's transfer speeds seem to do alright and I really enjoy it having a seperate power supply. Lets see how long it'll last, lol.

Huge capacity and fast speed are what this product offers and it delivers. I have no need for the software that it comes with, so I don’t know if it’s any good. The only question at this point is how long will it last.

Decent back up drive based on $ per TB when on sale. I would not use this drive for any other purpose as it's quite loud when writing data and not all that fast. The enclosure is plastic. A USB 3.0 cable is included.

Was easy to transfer all my files over. It's quieter than the last one I bought, tona of storage, 8tb for under $180.

It's a great HD with plenty of storage! Only weird part is running macOS 10.15.7 Catalina after a while the HD will just "can't create backup folder". Tried the "turn off power save mode" too. I just have to re-plug it in to make it work. So, besides that, it's fantastic.

Drives are great stand alone Personal Clouds but if you are building a NAS, you can shuck the drives out and use them in your NAS.
