Received as a gift. Using it as a backup of a backup. Directly connected to my router to be used as a network share. Can access my files easily via FTP. So far no issues. Fast read/write times even across the WAN.

This is my third 8th Easystore from Western Digital. All 3 are in use as backup drives for a NAS and 2 computers. This is a great, quiet drive. Although it really wasn't necessary, I did reformat one of the drives which was easy and quick, and went off without a hitch. It is a relief knowing that the data I have is secure, and if something does go wrong, I have a copy of everything I need. Can't say it enough: Back it up! Back it up! and in case I wasn't very clear, Back It Up!

Have this connected to my PS4 pro. It works great. Definitely holds a lot of games. Bought this due to my 4TB, that is also connected to my PS4 pro, getting full. Another good thing about this is that it powers down when the PS4 pro powers down. That is a plus for me. My Xbox One doesn't due that. Games do load a little faster on the external thru USB3 than the way I have a 4TB internal connected to the SATA3.

I really like this external hard drive. Usb 3 and a lot of storage. It has been working well for the last year or so.

Great external hard drive. Using it to store and organize old files that I wanted to keep incase OnLine back up fail. Good size for my purpose for now.

If you need extra space for your video game console this is perfect. Got it for my xbox one and its simple to use and great!

This is the 4th of these drives I have purchased to expand the storage of my Plex Media server, works like a charm. Easy to use, partition and fast enough no buffering is noticed.

WD has always been a good product for me. This is no exception. Loaded with space, very fast, and at a fantastic price.

So I purchase this as I have the same problem I suspect everyone does with having media on multiple drives, and not sorted well. I setup OpenMediaVault on my Raspberry Pi 3 and attached this Hard drive to it via USB. So far no complaints as the Pi 3 is the limiting factor with speed. I get about 11 mbs since the Pi 3 internal NIC is only 100mbs. Drive works great as it's been about a month or so since it's been powered off and I'm impressed for the price I paid you can't get more storage.

I have two 8TB and one 10TB drive and all are still chugging along. Good size to price value.
