This is a great drive for backup and storage. I like to have multiple drives in case one fails.

I bought this external hard drive for PS4 download content storage. The read/write speed is seamless and I have not had any issues thus far.

This unit has worked well since I purchased it. There is enough storage space for video files and all the other things on multiple drives on my computer. I found transfer speed very good. This drive comes with backup software that is easy to use and is configurable to back up some directories and not others. The same software will also control multiple WD drives.

My daughter have a business and this is a great item to use for a back up all her information. It is very reliable and it saves a lot of information.very important for her business

I have been pretty much a fan of WD drives for years, still am so decided to get this 8TB drive to fit all my memories after all these years. Especially since I really don't take photos, I take videos of my travels and memories so I need ALOT of space. It's been working well and the transfer rate has been really fast, though I think that might have to do with my new comp. All around good purchase!

This is my third drive and have had great luck. I love the cloud but also like having a hands on copy of all my media! Bigger is always better and with 4 K here you will need all the space you can get. Be sure to have multiple HDD's for your home media and keep one off sight in case your house burns down ect. On a side note be prepared for it to take a while when transferring all your media. Use the fastest USB port you have!

This thing is huge and very fast. If only it was a little less expensive, but no complaints. I paid for it and it's worked perfectly.

I purchased this because I had a 4TB drive for my backup to my Mac and it was getting full (have it partitioned with 1.5 TB for backups and 2.5 for storage). This allowed me to increase my storage and amount for partitioning. I ran across an issue when I tried to partition that I had never had. I had to format the entire drive to MS-Dos firs and then go back and partition part to Mac OS and the other part to EX-Fat. After that, no issues.

Great Drive, no issues with install works great. Was worried about review across the internet that after time it stops working. Had the drive a month so far and seen no issues thus far.
