Excellent, huge hard drive

Excellent External Drive for Home Use

The drive inside the one I purchased in April 2017 is a WD80EFZX which is the WD Red line. These drives are 5,400 RPM so they aren't extremely quick but they are good for home use especially when connected through USB 3.0.

Reds inside

The first couple I got a few months back were "white label" drives but performed similar to Reds. I bought six during this sale and they were all actual Reds, and as expected, they scream. Obviously this violates my warranty but at essentially half the price of a non-external Red, I can afford to buy a couple of spares.

Huge storage on a budget
