a huge space for storage. A good item for video , files and photos to save . you also can use it to duplicate your primary hard drive as a backup.

A quick and easy shuck and some kapton tape to block pin 3 and blammo, my server had an additional 8TB of storage to play with. Watch these for sales and grab one for easy storage. The device by itself is great too, stable storage for those who need a little more room but don't have the ability to add the drive in their computer.

I needed more storage for my PS4 and found this on sale. Works flawlessly on the PS4. It uses DC power (not a fan of it but it's fine) but it turns itself off when the PS4 is turned off which is great because my old one would stay on until it was manually turned off.

Bought this to back up/hoard a bunch of files. I got it while it was on sale. Couldn’t beat the price per TB. I have no issues or concerns With this drive. Works as advertised and the quality is fine. The usb cable could be a little longer for sake of storing this out of sight but otherwise no issues.

The delivery was a bit iffy, but over all the product does what it needs to do.

It’s simple. It’s a hard drive and gets the jobs done. However, if you own a mac, have a usb adapter to accommodate your product.

I use this drive to back-up data from 6-8 computers. It has performed well. The software that comes with the drive is also a plus. I believe to obtain the software you need to purchase the WD back-up drive that says plus. Or maybe I could be wrong. However, it is worth considering while searching for large backup drive.

Tons of space! I hope that it does not die! Some of the large capacity 2.5 inch drives are very un-reliable. I hope this 3.5 inch drive is better.

Works great. USB 3.0 is much faster than older USB 2.0 WD external drives I have. It is plug and play with Windows 10. It comes with WD disk utilities on it, but I don't use these. I have other real time backup software running. This 8GB WD HD is "air gapped" from my Dell XPS 8920. I use it only for backup of an external WD 4GB HD. I bought it on sale at BB, great low price.

The transfer speeds are really good for this drive. I was getting 130 mbps plus. It's also pretty quiet compared to other drives. I found Seagate drives to be the loudest and less reliable. I've never had any negative problems with Western Digital drives and always prefer buying them over Seagate!!!
