One thing though when you set it up you won’t get the full 8 terabytes you’ll get a bit less but not the full 8 just keep that in mind. Access is fast but not blazing fast. I use it to back up my pictures. Get it when it’s on sale. Thanks BB

My laptop is not an expensive one, so if you put a lot of information and data it gets slow. Now I have a lot of storage for pics and video and other data. Love this product.

My media server is hosted on this drive for my movies and television and music libraries, still going strong.

Great Storage Drive for your Family Pic's!!

I took this desition after a friend lost her kids photos (since new born to kindergarden) that she had on her PC's drive that got broken and she sent to a special service trying to save the photos but unsuccesful to recover them. WD is a very thrustable brand since I got two drives and the oldest is from 5 years ago and still working without any troubles.

Great 8TB drive so far

Then ran unRAID PreClear successfully and installed in unRAID Server for storage drive. Works fine so far. Good Hard Drive- temps OK
