The hard drive worked perfectly, relatively quiet, and the correct drive.

Storage driveThe storage drive was well put together and the overall factor was done incredibly well. It didn’t what it was supposed to do as advertised. I will be using this storage drive for a long time.

As many others have said, inside the enclosure is an 8tb WD Red that is relatively easy to remove and is significantly cheaper than its retail price. The drive itself is a little louder than the WD blues that I have but it’s transfer speeds are better and these drives have a good reputation for reliability.

I originally bought the WD - easystore 8TB External USB 3.0 Hard Drive for fast access to my large data base of information and apps. At the same time, I was backing up everything online for disaster recovery. The online storage is excellent but after a couple of terabytes it begins to take days to transfer the data even with 100 MB+ Internet speed. So I as an experiment I backed up everything to my easystore and it took a about 1/2 day for the first backup but the following backups took only minutes. To solve the disaster recovery requirement I bought a second easystore and swap them every X days. I keep the off site easystore in a safe deposit box. I get fast, safe disaster recovery at a low cost.

Seems very similar to my WD My Book I've had for years, but not quite. I tried to reformat it for Mac and I couldn't. There's no instructions in the box explaining that. I went to the website and did everything it told me to and it still didn't reformat. It ended up being a good thing since I've had to go back and forth recently between my Mac and PC laptop. I bought this as a backup drive since my other one is getting old and so far it's handling it's purpose.

Too sweet price hahah. Most of this product has WD RED HDD inside. But...some people said they found WD WHITE HDD

Pro: An great amount of space to backup and store your files! Con: I don’t mind it having a separate power adapter for it to function, I just think the usb cable that is comes with is too short. Would have been great to have a longer cable to place it where I want.

Works as expected, No problem so far. Overall would recommend this product.

For the price it a good sneaker backup. I use two of them to create my own sneaker raid back up. But the warranty is only 1 year

Definitely a good product worth price and good connectivity

Similar to all previous WD larger (physical size) external USB drives but with much larger capacity. I use it for GIANT backups of entire laptop system, including "offline" videos and photos that I don't want to take up space of laptop. I also use multiple PASSPORT drives for everyday backup with redundancy.

I purchased this huge hard drive from Best Buy during the Black Friday sale. It was cheap considering the size. I could not resist buying it. I have not used it vet. want to be able to use it for both PC and Mac. I trust the "Western Digital" name..t should be a great drive for both machines.

WD is my favorite brand of external HD. The quality of the product and tech support surpass seagate hands down.

Purchase 4, after 2 months of use, so far it’s ok. Air filled, not helium.

Great external hdd backup. It has enough space and more to backup all your family pictures. There is no built in software to backup seamlessly. I don't recommend leave the external hdd plugged in as it stress the hard drives.
