This drive seems to be really nice. I did have some issues getting the software setup and there might be a connectivity issue. It could just be related to my unit so I will probably try an exchange.

Needing this for back up of my computers. This is my secondary back up and so far it has been working great!

I was definitely running out of storage with my other external Hard drives and definitely my internal drive as well. This solved my problem having multiple storage locations for my iTunes library and now it's all in one place and more efficient! Boom.

I use this drive for backup and in music production. Works flawlessly and easily, especially with a good backup software. I use Acronis backup software, and between this drive and the software finally have a reliable, easy to use backup solution that I can configure as I want. No Time Machine!

WD Easystore 8TB provides plenty of space to store all data into a safe one bank. It takes only a few hours to back up all my data from two laptop without any problem or hitch. The software is very easy to follow and with one click the backup process commences automatically.

Nice having a big easy to use external drive where I can copy over all my files. Not using the WD backup software and don't really plan to. Not a drive I keep connected all the time, just when copying my media and other files. Easy to plug and play movies through my TV too.

Damm good, I just use to back up all my son soccer video.

I use this for my xbox one x and it works great. only bad thing is there is no power switch to shut it off.

I was rapidly running out of storage for photos and videos, and purchased this WD 8GB external HDD when it went on sale. Very easy to set up and use with Windows 10. Not the fastest drive in the world, but good for storage of less frequently used files.

I got this for my unraid server and it has been great I did have to fix the 3.3v pin that shuts it down as I am using an old power supply but other than that it has ran great in server. however im not sure how anyone has the patience to shuck it without damaging the the case.

Portable, durable and not too heavy. Fits perfectly in confined spaces.

These are rock solid drives. Case is sturdy, and very little noise/vibration from drive sitting on my desk

Have now bought two for use in Unraid (one as parity). Both were white label drives. They've performed flawlessly up to now. Depending whether they're on sale, probably the best price per TB of any drive of its size. Will probably buy more of them.

I was able to shuck the drive out of the cash and use it in my NAS with no issues. Shucking the first one takes a while to get used to after that, it became like clockwork knowing where the notches are.
