Decent overall performance

Drive actually spins at 7200 despite being a 5400 class drive, so if you shuck for NAS use, it will run a little hotter and suck more power

Lots of storage, great price

Great WD Red Drive But Requires Configuration

The drive is really quiet but it gets hot when under load. I would recommend putting a fan over it. Plus, you'll need to reconfigure it so that it doesn't go into sleep mode so frequently.

Bought this for a backup no problems. Averaging through USB about 225 Mbs. WD80EDAZ-11CEWB0 is what is inside read with crystalmark.

reliable external storage

Four years ago, I bought one of eight 8TB for all my photos and have had no issues. Now, this new 8TB drive will back up all my videos and music files. Great product.

It would be great if they had USB-C inputs so they would be faster but for the money, I think they're a good value.
