Very good and comes with extra perks but can get noisy. All in all used as a backup drive and works perfect.

This powered External HDD from WD is a solid and stable performer for my video editing needs. Was on a great sale, too! Just format it when you get it so you don’t have to deal with it’s reinstalled stuff.

Not eady for 5 stars as I've not used it heavily yet. However, setup was painless and, so far, zero issues.

Some of my other external hard drives work only with certain versions of windows. This external HD can be read by all of my computers; some of which are over 10-years old. Easy to use. It is just plug and play.

I have two of these. One for the PS4 and one for Xbox One. They work flawlessly and I’d recommend them to anyone with either console.

This unit is so simple to use. Plug in attach to your PC and use. The speed of use is only limitted by your computer, not the drive. I have used it to back up our computers data including photos and store it off site.

I actually purchased these to install in a Synolgy NAS. Once the drive arrived it was opened up and used in the NAS. Even though they were the WD White Drives they worked perfectly in the device and I saved about $120 by doing this.

Easy to install and it’s got a lot of space for a decent price

I bought this to expand the space for my Xbox One X, works as advertised, the only negative compared to my previous is the need for a wall power adapter.

My old laptop was struggling and i was worried i would lose my files so I purchases this to keep them safe. So much space! It is just wonderful and my old laptop is still hanging on now that i have cleaned it up.

I've been using this for about a month and have had experience with another external drive by this brand and have had continued excellent performance. I have no reason to believe this unit will perform any less effectively.

Had 2, returned them because they both ran VERY hot right out of the box, 57 after 2 hours. Crystal Disk Found that the type is WD80edaz, which is important, because no one knows if it is a CMR or SMR drive?? The real question is what type of drive is this, why the overheating and why did they change??

I bought this external storage drive on sale and combined it with a new Lima Ultra to create my own personal home cloud. Fast set-up as soon as I plugged it into the network. I'm very happy with the response time on both my MacMini and Surface Pro.

I mainly use it to store my games. Isn’t as fast as a ssd but it helps with keeping all my games together without having to delete and install games every time I wanna play something different.

This is exactly what I was looking for, holds all the info and then some.

The purchase of this drive, with it's ease in shuckability, is still going strong nearly 2 years later. Be warned, this drive is a gateway to going full NAS in your home. Looking to go to 64TB by end of 2020 at this rate.
