good price for 8 tb of space. Never had a WD drive fail.

I have 2 other 4 TB easystore drives and was happy with them until I dropped one and damaged it. So this is a replacement. I figured more storage is better. So far so good on an iMac. Must reformat for Mac but it’s not too complicated a process. If you don’t want to reformat select the WD My Book.

Needed to backup and consolidate files from several external hard drives before upgrading my OS X on my iMac and this was Western Digital HD with 8T of storage is perfect. Set up is easy plug and play.

This is a great and fast backup for my computer. I take lots of pictures and the kids have a lot of music on our computer. This backup can store all our pics and music with tons of storage for regular backups.

8TB is handy to have. I use two of these drives to backup my NAS. They are reasonably fast on a USB3 connection. I have had the smaller versions of these in the past and have been happy with them as well.

Easy to set up. My previous WD Hard Drive lasted nearly 20 years. I hope that I can get this many years out of the new one here. I highly recommend this product.

I have 5 of these and have not had one fail yet . They used to contain wd red drives now they all have a white label drive that are assumed to be the same reliability and speed as the reds.

When you just do not have enough space on your hard drive, going to this 8 TB had drive is wonderful. I ported all my data, pictures and other items and still have several TB left. Works great and fast.

Purchased this to add to my collection of WD My Book Drives...it doesn't disappoint. This external HD drive will be beyond enough to safely store your precious media or data. For under $200...you can't lose.

I buy these HDD's all the time when they go on sale. Excellent storage for value! They can also be easily shucked if that is what you are looking for.

went from 4tb to 8tb, will soon upgrade to 12tb. todays high megapixel dslrs create big files and quickly fill up storage. thise was very inexpensive and huge storage

This is my second asystore drive. The first (purchased in 2019) has been fine, so I figured I'd stick with what works. Unfortunately this new one keeps setting off temperature alerts because it is IDLING at between 60-70°C at all times. At those temps it's a safe bet that this thing will fail very quickly, taking my data with it. I'll exchange it for another just in case I got a defective unit, but a quick google search (which I should have done first) revealed that Western Digital started using cheaper hardware for the EasyStore this year that runs way too hot. If the replacement is better I'll update this review, but otherwise you should avoid putting any important data on this drive

Got these to build a storage array for my NAS. Internal drives were WD Red drives and got them much cheaper than buying the raw drives. Overall great value for ncie drives!

Got this hard drive during a sale and what a bargain. Pros: Large capacity and decent transfer speeds of large contiguous files. Cons: It goes to sleep when inactive and takes a few seconds to wake up.

This was an upgrade from a WD Book 4 Gig that was getting full. Plugging in was a breeze to my computer and getting this up and running with the software was also smooth. Currently backing up my hard drive which has been a slow process thru 2.0 and not 3.0 USB port. So far though happy with my purchase.

Good drives, I shucked them and use them in my NAS really good value for the product. Easy to shuck and use. Been running fine for close to a year now.
