Its a large size which is a plus and comes with software that is useful. I would say definitely register it for warranty purposes but so fast it's been great backing up my things.

I bought this to store photos and videos and have had a great experience. No complaints, more then large enough for my needs!

This fit all my needs. I have an extensive movie collection and was looking for a way to consolidate multiple small Hard drives into one. 8 terabytes will definitely do the trick for now :)

It is a great External Hard Drive, I pulled the trigger when I saw it was on sale 140. I transferred over 500GB of movies to it, and the transfer speed was better then i expected.

Purchased for PS4 use. Has not disappointed. Shouldn't have to delete a game ever. Download my ps subscription games directly to it every month.

I was looking for a network storage device, and was surprised at the sale price on this one. 8T for less than I'd previously paid for a 4T unit. The only thing lacking is pre-installed streaming software, which came with the last two storage devices I purchased.

I got this for my Xbox one x. I had bought a 6tb version of the same thing 3 years ago for my older Xbox one - it still runs great so I had not doubt when I had to buy a new one.

I took this out of the box, plugged the USB in and cord in the socket and it started right up, loaded software and I was immediately able to put files on it. No lag time in start up.

I love the WD external drives. I've owned many external WD drives models over the years. They are very reliable. I'd recommend them to anyone.

I purchased five WD 8GB Externals. All five were WD Red 8GB HDs inside. I used CrystalDiskInfo to check before needing to open the case for checking the WD drives inside. All good. Great buys.

USB 3.0 external hard drive - great for back up purposes, storage, etc. Quality drive on the inside should you want to "shuck" it for RAID/back up purposes.

I got an amazing deal for a 8TB HD. Now I can consolidate all my drives into one. And have space to use as backup to my laptop. Hard drives have a limited life so this was a perfecf solution.

Th e external hard drive was easy to set up. We bought it for expanding the memory on our PS4 and it works perfectly. It was definitely worth the buy!

Excellent external drive for making backups of your data off your main computer. USB 3.1 would have been just a bit better but this one gets the job done just fine.

I picked this up when it was on sale, and it’s been a great drive. I did shuck the drive and use it internally in my PC for more data storage and it’s a great drive.

External enclosure contains a WD Red 8TB NAS drive for a lower cost than the drive itself. If you can find it on sale it's even better. Awesome deal and a great drive. I've ordered 5 of these

This external hard drive has a huge storage capacity, it works fine. The only downside I could say of it is that its a little bit noisy but I guess its because is a larger 3.5 drive.

Backing up data/pictures is very important if you have/use a computer, etc. One of these worked very well for another family member. Now I need to get one for myself.

These drives had fantastic reliability records. I connected them and checked did a WD scan before copying my data. The utilities WD provides are also handy. Very happy with the purchase.
