This is the lowest price per terabyte storage solution I found. Ideal for write once read many (WORM). It's fast enough to do most of my archiving and streaming. There is a slight vibration whenever it is on, but as long as you put it in a stable spot it should be quiet because of the rubber feet.

WD products are simply that. I’m a backup phobe and even with cloud, I want redundancy. Drive is decent size, but hoping WD can take next steps soon for more capacity

These use untried disks with a notoriously high fail rate which is why they're so cheap but BestBuy will replace them within the return or Geek Squad period or then Western Digital will replace them within the 3 year warranty period. However, don't register these with Western Digital unless & until you need to replace them because the WD registration is nontransferrable. Dont yank the USB cable or power adapter from the hard drive. Unplug the power adapter from whatever external power souurce first. Also, don't drop or hit them nor store next to heat source or in the sunlight

it works perfectly for my laptop. I'm a photographer and need as much storage space as possible. This definitely gets the job done, backing up everything...and then some.

Purchased when on sale. Great value. Shucked the drive to place in an 4 bay JBOD. Please note the drive utilizes the power disable feature (search on-line).

this is the 6st WD external hard drive I bought, trying to protect all my datas in my small company. Always easy to install, I will not change to something else at this price

I ended up breaking up the packaging and taking the drive out to put into my pc, for some reason at the time this one was cheaper than an internal. works great!

So far so good. It’s my second easystore drive and this one has proved as “easy” as the last. We’ll see about longevity but my old one is going strong still two years later. XBox One immediately recognized and setup drive including formatting. Very please with purchase thus far.

Love it and it works well. Can't beat the price for 8T. I have had Seagate Back plus Drive on my desktop with 3 drive failures in 6 months. A piece of junk. This one is great.

Nice affordable large drive. Using it for my PS4 external drive as it runs out if space quickly. Formats super fast. Would purchase again.

Bought 5 Drives, 2 were WD Red NAS drives the rest were White Label drives. I shucked them all and installed them in my Synology NAS. now running 42 TB after raid with no issues.

Great External Hard Drive for almost all files, software, videos and photos. I store all of these on here (with backup to my NAS) as a single source for all my needs.

This is wonderful! Bought this for my daughter who takes lots of photos and videos. She was able to partition the drive to save from her Mac and pc. Easy setup. Now I need my own

Not a fan of the new systems or how they work, but this is a must and was a great deal. No need for the XBox branded.

I bought this for 159.99 when it was on sale, which is a really great deal for this drive. The drive inside is an 8 TB Western Digital Red drive, so it's a great product all around.

I tested this drive out initially and got about 200MB/s Read/Write via USB 3.0. Shucked it open to reveal a white label drive and stuck it into my NAS unit. Works like a charm.

I've come to trust these drives after purchasing several for my own use for for work use. I'm a video editor - so they get a LOT of use!
