Bought this to use as my main hard drive for my PS4. Easy to setup and I have no worries about running out if space for games. Purchased on sale for great price.

This thing works as expected. I bought it to store my massive amount of photos and videos. It serves that purpose just fine. No issues at all after 2 weeks.

On sale for $130 each. Shucked them and put into Synology NAS. Virtually identical to WD Red drives at almost 2X the cost. Ran extensive testing. Works GREAT !!!

There's plenty of storage to keep everything stored and backed up. It's a bit bulky to work with, and strangely this one is not as fast as couple other drives I have of the exact same type and model. The actual hard drive inside these models might vary, so it's a hit-or-miss.

This hard drive is the fastest I have ever bought. File transfering ws a breeze. And the 8TB will meet my needs for a long time. I will buy another for backup.

I bought this for the X0X and I don't expect to ever have to buy additional hard drive space within the next 20 years. If I do I'll go buy another one of these 8 terabytes.

This drive is easy to connect. You'll have it up and running in moments. It's used to back up files which it does in reasonable time.

Just bought an iMacPro and needed extra storage. This was on sale, had huge storage, and very easy to format and use on my Apple. Recommend this unit.

This was my 4th one of these drives. All work great. I bought all of them on sale, not all at once but over the last year. I use them for Plex and back-up.

it is well function usb harddisk and sata type to mainboard. it is white type of WD so you must stach tape on power connection 1-3 pin. then you use in windows.

Good 8TB Storage has independent power source-not usb that puts less demand on your computer. However between usages it does require a few seconds to spin up and ready.

Pros: Reasonable transfer speed with usb 3.0; value of money Cons: Bulky, needs external power.

My only wish I waited a couple days and would have purchased the 10TB for only $10 more. Drive works as expected, should be able to save years worth of back-ups.

Been a fan of WD externals for some time. This beast doesn’t disappoint. It is now my storage base of choice for music and rotating backups.

Excellent external hard drive for storage of various files. The USB 3.0 causes this to have fast read and write times.

Grabbed this on sale. Just what I was looking for to backup a number of pocket external drives that I carry for work and school. No issues yet...does what it is suppose to do.
