I have bought 4 of these drives over the last two and a half years and, running almost continuously, performing as promised. Enough said.

Really like this backup drive. Simple instructions and set up. Plenty of storage space at an affordable price. BACK UP YOUR DRIVES!!! Better safe than sorry.

My son plays a lot of video games online, which uses a lot of storage. This was reasonable and he is now able to keep all his games accessible for use.

What else is there to say? These store data. I have a bunch of these easystore drives, and they've never failed on me. *Knock on wood*

I purchased this just for my ps 4 pro. Now I can just down load the games I want, works great for those flash sales on mini games. It plugs into one of the controller ports.

These drives are finally getting large enough to do me for my data caches that must sync with Dropbox for Business. Greater hosting backup, and fast enough to work just fine.

This device is great! I use it to store multiple mp4 movie files. I never run out of space. I really like the product.

I have used WD drives for several years. I have purchased many of them over the last few years. This drive is a great value since the drive inside is a WD Red drive so this drive is built with reliability. WD Red has features such as NAS compatibility, increased reliability and more.

Best price hands down. I ordered online once from another store and it was broken, nice to pick this up locally and know no parts are loose inside the box.

I've had the drive for a year now and have had zero issues. Good read/write speeds and simple 'plug & play'. Will buy more when I need the additional storage.

This drive is fast and quiet. One thought - it would benefit from multiple 3.0 USB, currently on one PC, but as an 8TB, should be able to connect to at least two PC's.

These drives are ~5400 RPM "white label" WD Red drives in a non-encrypting enclosure. They work great in the enclosure and they're awesome for "shucking" to use in a big fat RAID array. Be aware that the enclosure has a sleep timer that will put the drive to sleep after a certain amount of time; if you try to run a SMART long test it will abort once the enclosure sends the sleep command to the drive for you. The lack of encryption means that an enclosure board failure doesn't render all data on the drive unusable which is a major advantage of these over the WD My Book etc. series drives.

Very happy with the purchase. Fits more PS4 games than I could ever possibly have time to play. Works great, never had any issues.

I bought this hard drive for my son’s Xbox One. As soon as I plugged it in, the Xbox recognized it and formatted it immediately. We were using it in under five minutes.

What can I say, they are WD reds with a lower warranty. Pull them apart and throw them in a NAS. Price on sale is fantastic. Hopefully one day i can replace these with SSDs.

Not much to say except that it’s a ton of storage space for a small price. I run a small business that deals with large video files and this is a nice backup.

I bought this drive on sale for $130 with every intention to take it apart and use it as an internal drive. To my surprise it will not so much as spin when plugged in as an internal drive. Not recognized in bios at all. I’ve taken my toile external hard drives apart in particular the 4tb WD My Book. I’ve taken 3-4 of them apart and they work just fine. The main reason for doing so is because generally those boxes have WD reds in them so if I catch one on sale I can get a normally $150-160 hard drive for $100. Just overall disappointed that this didn’t work.

I have a Mac laptop and plugged this in and it was telling me I had to all sorts of things I didn't understand to make it work. I tried doing them and my computer told me it was a bad idea. I ended up having a friend come over and he had to (I think?) reformat this Drive to make it compatible. After that, it worked great. But I wanted plug-and-play and it was not.

Quick and easy set up. Reliable and quiet. Best part is drive goes to sleep with a slow blinking light to let you know it is in sleep mode

these were a great addition to my hard drive collection I seem to have going since we keep filling them up .... have had no issues with this easy to setup
