Great external HD, fast and reliable. I will be buying another and set them up in a mirror raid for a secure back-up system for working with my photos.

This is the 3rd WD external drive I buy and as always, great reliability and no surprises. Very happy with my purchase.

Got this on sale and purchased it for my brother as a gift for his PS4. Now he has more space than he know what to do with! Lol

You really couldn't beat the value of the WD Easystore when it was purchased. It is fast enough for most applications if you can run it on USB 3.0 but you would see some lag for video or image processing or other power hungry apps.

The drive is quiet and fast. After just a few month of use, my drive is already at 75% full. Given that the cloud options are trending pricy every day, I may need another or larger drive soon on this BF day.

I bought the WD - Easystore to solve a storage problem I got myself into. It fulfilled all I needed and then some performing solidly.

Been using it for over a month now. So far no problems. Researched it and this hard drive came up with very favorable reliability scores from Backblaze.

I edit a lot of video. Being able to just drop my footage off on the hardrive without worrying about space is so great. Plus it’s cheap

Just the right size and super fast when downloading or writing. Fast transfer time when swapping information between drives.

Definitely worth it to have lots of storage for the onslaught of videos and pictures. Very good TB storage per cost ratio.

Was looking for a new harddrive and came across this one The price was right and large enough space for all my data.

Unit worked as stated, added a second one of these... first one is going on 8 months with no issues; I expect the same with this.

WD - easystore® 8TB External USB 3.0 Hard Drive are the best external back-up drives. 8TB is an immense amount of data that can be stored externally.

While its size is impressive and it was on sale for a good price. I found that something is happening frequently when im using it for external storage on my ps4. It either freezes my game and i have to pull the plug or it says the data has been corrupted and would i like to repair the storage, saying yes gets me past it and it loads my games. So far i havent lost games or data but thus far it has not been a glitch free experience. I never experienced anything with anything failing to load before but since using it for storing games this happened at least four times over the first month its been in use. Maybe its not up to par for gaming. Just hoping it holds out...

I stripped these a few of these down and put the bare drives in a personal storage server. Have lasted me over a year with no issues so far.

I bought a handful of these for a NAS at different locations in December 2017 - January 2018. None of these were identified as Red drives as other reviewers suggested. However, they do run quiet and run fairly cool nonetheless. Buy when they are on sale.

This external drive is awesome. So much storage at an affordable price. These WD external drives are a good value if you catch them on a deal of the day.
