Just functional and reliable. So far, it has been that. It was a good value, and I'm still happy with it.

Very good hard drive for what it is and the price

I use it to back up large files for temporary storage. (Temporary storage because I don't trust these types of storage that much. I'd rather be using an SSD but they are too expensive)

None of these were identified as Red drives as other reviewers suggested. However, they do run quiet and run fairly cool nonetheless. Buy when they are on sale.

It is fast enough for most applications if you can run it on USB 3.0 but you would see some lag for video or image processing or other power hungry apps.
