Great Hard Drive Fast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this Hard Drive to Replace the 4 TB external Drive I was using as my cloud attached to my Asus Router (RT-AC3100) It was recognized immediately Plug N Play, and has fast file transfers and access to files, Really Nice Drive. I also Have one of these attached to my Xbox One X It works perfectly for that as well.

I've been using WD "My Book" external drives for about ten (10) years and haven't had any issues. After about 3-4 years I replace them just to avoid keeping them too long and maybe eventually failing. Just a precautionary replacement.

Great drive for Storage!

Pretty great but slight drawback
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would have given it 5 stars but there’s two drawbacks. First is, the need to have it connect to a power source. It’s understandable, but nevertheless a slight nuisance. Second, and major drawback, I’ve recently had issues where it disconnects from my Xbox without having been touched. Have had to hard reset my Xbox every time, unplug and plug back the hard drive, and at least once it didn’t work so had to repeat process

Awesome FAST External Drive!

It uses Western Digital's RED drive line inside which are designed for long life in a constant use scenario. Speed is great, no complaints. When on sale, typically is cheaper then a regular internal 8TB drive. Well worth the money spent on this. Have recommended this drive to friends and family.
