Lots of storage for my videos and pictures

I have used WD drives in the past and all of them are still working so I know they make quality products. I bought this when Best Buy's low sale price was just too hard to resist. Thanks Best Buy!

Lots of storage at a great price

I've only had it for a few weeks, but it seems to be reading/writing fine. When moving files between it and another USB 3.0 device, the speed is very fast. Transfers with a USB 2.0 device are much slower.

Good drive for the money

Its Western Digitals NAS drive with would last for a very long time. I wish they had the 5-Year Warranty but I guess as long as it works, you won't need it. Also, WD needs to start switching to USBC.

kinda slow

Slow to spin up so I only use to backup files and then I turn it off. Initially purchased for large video editing files but accessing some of those files for editing is painfully slow and often requires rebooting of the computer. I am using this drive only for archiving. Even then, I wonder how long this drive will stay alive.

Big reliable storage

Working great for several months. Able to saturate a gigabit LAN no problem. Is quiet but does have a periodic "tick" as others have said. Probably not good for a bedroom PC if you leave it on while trying to sleep.
