Hard drive has some extra apple software that I need to be delete. I have stored about 150GB of data so far and no problems. The transfer rate is very fast, sorry I don't have any numbers for you. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Great Affordable Storage

Best Buy seems to regularly offer them at 25-50% off and makes them a steal. Reliable, fast (relative to other HDD), and large storage options. They run super quiet and cool and can be used as storage for any use.

Note that this is the Best Buy exclusive model, which has a shorter warranty (but should also have a lower cost). A lot of people open these up and basically get an internal hard drive, technically voiding the warranty anyway.

It's plug and play. It's been attached to my router which acts as a media server. Write speeds are pretty decent over my network (20-25 Mbps).
