I've had this for a couple of months, use it as a backup drive to my WD Mycloud Storage Unit. The My Cloud allows you to connect an external Hard Drive and setup automatic backups. Unit has been working perfectly. Fast, quite and efficient.

Purchase all your WD easystore products at bestbuy. They have great prices and they do go on sale many times throughout the year. USB3.0 will transfer at around 150KB a second for speedy transfers.

This is so much less than the competition and it is WD! Have two and very pleased.

The WD 8TB USB HD is an excellent choice when looking for more storage for your PC, PS4 and/or XBOX. I have not experienced any issues with slow speeds or connectivity. I highly recommend this product.

This is a great hard drive for the price and size. With the increase in digital picture quality, more room is needed to store those precious photos/videos and documents. Consider purchasing this hard drive for back up purposes.

8tb WD Red inside.... this is a much better value than buying the internal drive

I use this with my mac. I had no problem reformatting it to the several partitions of different disk formats that I needed. It is fast and has worked perfectly making backups of files from both Linux and my mac.

This WD 8 TB external hard drive was trouble free with zero installation or compatibility issues with my Win7Pro computer. Simply plug in the included power cable and included USB 3.0 cable and go. Plenty fast and I was able to backup all my digital photos with ease. I'm only giving this drive four out of five stars because the price jumped back up. When this thing goes on sale jump on it.

Can't beat the price of these if you catch them on sale.

When these are on sale, it's the best deal you can get currently. The drive inside is excellent quality unlike a lot of other external drives. It's essentially a NAS rated drive so it should last a lot longer.

$/TB ratio is good. large capacity usb 3.0 form factor better than wdc equivalent

My computer’s hard drives were just about all full. Saw this on sale and picked it up curbside. Pulled up and it was in my hands within a minute. Best Buy isn’t playing around with that curbside service.

We have purchased WD easystore previously. Holds quite a bit of data. After going through hurricane Irma last year. We decided this would be the best storage for our electronic data (pictures, etc). We will definitely purchase again.
