Expands storage and excellent for safekeeping of important documents. I keep mine in storage just in case my computer goes down and I don’t risk looking hours of work

This is a lot of space for the price, the drive is relatively quiet most of the time, the drive comes partitioned with software ready for installation already on the hard drive. This is a very good performing drive for this price point, whether you keep it in its case for backups or take it out for an internal drive.

The 8tb drive was on sale and a great value, I never hear it and stays cool, works very fast. Great drive for backup.

A good amount of storage. Fairly easy to shuck to put the drive in a NAS.

Easy/store is easy to use. I like the rounded shape too. The downside to this and some other external hard dives that are on the market is that the power port is very often proprietary, somewhat flimsy and over time can break. Given the sensitivity of the type of product it is this can present a problem. If allowed to go too far it can become quite difficult to obtain or transfer data from it and a replacement part for the port is difficult to find. Other than that it works well and is easy to use

Just started using this drive, but so far I'm pleased with the purchase. The price was great, and setup and operation were a breeze. As with any hard drive, time will be the real measure of its performance.

Lots of storage space and works great with my Xbox Series X. Only downside is newer games will not play from it unless they are moved to internal storage. Not a drive problem, but an Xbox problem. Still great storage for the price.

We record our weekly services and archive them to the device. Provides us with more than enough space. Easy to use.

Lots of space in a book-sized hard drive. Easy to store away and take around with you. It does require a power source to turn on as the USB port is not strong enough to turn on by itself.

Psst: This has the WD Red Drive hiding inside! I got this hard drive for less than the bare drive costs. Worth it!

8TB for nearly $100 less (on sale) than buying an internal drive. What a beautiful thought. Mine is working great!

I have owned quite a few portable external hard drives in the past, and this one sees to be the best so far, It has advanced features that make the drive seem more like an internal drive. It seems to be able to copy whole lot of files very quickly.Moving a terabyte quickly seems quite easy, I hope this drive lasts a long time, because it's very handy, and makes storage very simple.

I use these for network backups of servers. Simple to use and reliable.

8TB with USB 3.0 for under $200 is fantastic. I was able to combine a couple of older backups onto one fast drove.

The instructions are extremely easy to follow. In order to use it with all my Apple products, I highly suggest going into the utilities app on the computer, and formatting the drive to APPS prior to use.

I use mine as an expansion drive for my PS4 and love it . I cannot stand to delete games I’ve worked so hard for , yet do not want to sacrifice quality of gameplay either; this drive restores my happiness and faith in the present/future of gaming . No lag , easy to format , no noticeable running sound.

Excellent price per TB. WD Red drive inside makes for great 24/7 use. I have purchased 4 of these drives to date.
