I hooked it up to my router, now I have a big NAS storage, it's fast and slick, and really inexpensive!

This is just the device I need for long-term storage of games and other large applications that I'm not actively using. It's also somewhat durable. This device fell from a counter twice by accident and it's still operable.

WD Easystore has a solid build and is not too heavy. The read/write speeds are great. I would recommend this hard drive to everyone

Bought this because I read that it has the WD Red drive in it, which is a NAS drive. Got home and was able to confirm that it is a red drive. Very happy.

I bought this, dissembled it and took out the hard drive to use it with my computer build, I saved 100+ dollars doing so.

This was a really nice sale on this external drive. It's a pretty quick transfer with the USB 3 that's included. It's sleek and compact.

No problems with it so far. If I haven't used the computer for awhile, sometimes I have to wait a few seconds for the drive to load up and be accessible.

I got these drives on sale. They work fine in the enclosure. I haven’t taken them out to just use the internal drives but that will come next.

Seamless integration with my network and it went to work immediately as backup storage for several up my office devices.

Great little external drive, but if you ar planning on shucking the drive mine came with a WD White Drive not the WD Red that older ones came with and it would not work plug-n-play as an internal drive...

I removed the drive and threw the case. Hard to beat an 8 TB drive for the price.

All three of these disks have performed flawlessly for a couple of years. I expect the same from my newest acquisition.

Would buy another one at some point if necessary..

We usually buy Seagate, but they had a great deal on this drive. Yes, it is a very good drive. The thing is that although we take really great care of our drives, we have had a Seagate take one small drop before and was fine. This drive wound up getting knocked over by someone, and it was a smaller bump than the Seagate, and this thing wouldn't recover at all. Tried all kinds of programs to at least get the data off, and it was completely gone. I know that the bump was not WD's fault. That is why I still gave it three stars. However, I think it should have been more durable than that and also should have been able to at least recover some, if not all, the data on it.

External drive was easy to setup and was recognized by my Server 2012 R2 instance right away. Setup as a backup drive for the server and working well.

I love the hard drive and its price was fair too. Get a 8tb if u download alot of games for either ps4 or Xbox.
