Runs fast on my windows 10 machine. It was a little slower on my older PC but that has more to do with the PC than the harddrive.

Great for additional storage. The cables are a little short so get a longer one if your a normal person and have you ex-drive located more than a foot from the computer

after a month the drive seems to be working fine. It is quite and meets my requirements as a file and system back up drive.

This is my 'go to' backup storage drive. Western Digital still doesn't fail to deliver. This drive is fantastic!

Works great. I have it connected to my nas. I have media stored on it and I can stream the data perfectly without buffering.

Dont ever go cheap on storage, use name brands. WD does a good job. I stream media from it with no issues at all.

Very happy they were non white label reds, and were the “made in Thailand” drives too so they had a larger cache than white label drives

Exactly as advertised. The internal HD is large, spins at 5400 RPM, and is high quality. Good product.

Goes on sale periodically making it a really great deal. Only downside is after a while if not being used it goes to sleep so next time you go to access it it can take 10-15 seconds to wake up. Perfect for a backup drive.

Western Digital is the name in storage. What else can be said about them? Fast and safe storage.

This is an excellent value at $199 and below. Inside is 8 the WD Red with 256 MB cache. You can feel warm and fuzzy knowing your data is secure.
