    I've purchased several WD drives over the years and always work great. However, when you set it up to work with both Mac and Windows OS you will not be able to store or create Mac backups on the drive.

    It takes a long time to fill this 8TB hard drive. That is a lot of data. The underling hard drive is a 5400. Rpm WD Red drive.

    I own several of these drives and haven't had an issue yet. I would prefer a 3 year warranty instead of a 2 year warranty though.

    Good for desktop, speedier and unlikely any problem with it. The small portable ones (without power plugin) is more convenient but tend to have problem such as unreadable in a sudden.
