    I use WD Hard disk for storing my pictures. It works on both on Mac and PC once you format it to ExFat

    This was a replacement for the first one I bought that ran over 60 C, replacement runs in the low 50's but I have a portable USB fan that keeps it in the 35-41 C range.

    It’s hard to realize how big 8tb are but I’ve managed to consolidate 4 two tb drives without issue

    The drive works fine but had some issue when I connected to my powered USB Hub. It only stay connected for few hours then disconnected and restarted. When I connected direct to my computer USB port, it connected all day. You may think the issue can be my USB hub does not have enough power to handle 3 USB drives but that is not true. I tested only connected one drive, it still disconnected and restarted. My other 2 other drives are 3TB and 5 TB, they connected all day without any issue.

    This 8tb drive is working fine so far, and I have been pushing it big time moving lots of data from other drives. It's backup twin has also been fine. Data transfer speeds aren't stellar but just fine.
