Installed 2 8 TB drives and using it as Raid1. It was comparatively easy to setup. Using it for a week.

Bought as a game drive for my steam games I dont play much or older and dont need a faster drive. Works great! Also streamed Doom 2016 from this HDD to my steam deck with no issues. Would reccomend!

This is a nice sized hard drive. I'm using it as a backup for my Mac system. The price was good compared to other options I've looked at. While it comes formatted for Windows systems, it is not too difficult to reformat to the Mac file system. But you have to do that to make it usable.

Great product. Easy to use. I hooked it up to a Linux box without any issues. You'd be crazy not to have your own backup right there on your desk.

For use with windows and iOS. To copy files off other HDs. Formatted the 1st drive, but the drive would not be recognized by either the iMac or pc (iOS and windows disk utility would recognize but I was unable to get the drive active). Returned, no questions asked. Second drive works well

I have several of these. I buy them Black Friday every couple years as the sizes increase. I am setting this one up for a Plex server at home connected to my router directly. I have a 4 TB connected to my Xbox One which is a faster interface than the internal drive and much more storage. Feel free to research the faster connection as I did before I bought this for that purpose. I have some others as external storage on my computers.

We use it at work to backup video production, so we go through space pretty quickly. We've found that backing up on a hard drive like one and then storing it in a safe deposit box is much more cost effective than paying for "cloud storage". This unit is compact and easy to use.

I have been using Western Digital products for years and have always had excellent results. You can't beat the price for the 8TB drive. As an Apple person I need to format my drives to Mac Compatible and it is a breeze. Handles Time Machine without fault and stores my wifes 100,000+ photos with ease. Yes, on occasion the drive does make very slight vibration on my desk that is virtually imperceptible and rare and runs very cool. I tried a Seagate as well and it was a mess. I highly recommend this drive as well as my additional 5 Western Digital drives that have given me nothing but excellent performance. I keep a full b/u of both my Macs on two different Western Digital drives and keep them locked away for safety purposes and only pull them out to update. I never worry that Western Digital will let me down and if needed, Customer Support was excellent when I had an issue with Time machine not backing up. Not Western Digitals issue, a mistake made by me.

Had this a while and it works great. Saved us from a crashing drive and holds a lot more. No hiccups with this device.

So far so good. I've been using WD drives for my business for years and I've never had an issue with them losing files or malfunctioning so I'm confident this one will be just as great. Easy to set up and works quickly saving files.

This unit offers plenty of storage. No problems , easy to setup, time will tell about it’s longevity.

I totally uploaded every DVD I had onto this so now I can just have this plugged into the back of my TV and or Internet service provider and all of my DVD are accessible anytime I want.

I like WD. Very reliable. Occasionally I have had one or two stop working after a power bump; BUT found that if you carefully open the case, take the HDD out, remove the attached Sata connection card, and use it as an internal HDD; ALL the data is still there and accessible. Love it !

I absolutely love these Easystore drives of ANY size. The 8TB is a sweet spot for those that need a bunch of extra storage, but nothing too crazy. Best Buy sells this as a GREAT price if you stick around and watch. I highly recommend these drives. Beautiful, slick, small physical size with a HUGE internal storage capacity. Highly recommend.
