A lot of storage and is plug and play so you just plug it in and it works.

Got this to use as a backup drive. I am a photographer and have a ton of photos to keep safe. This does the job. Easy to use. Install software, setup backup and you're done. The software has really been updated.

You will need to download WD cloud but the set up process is very easy. The ability to access your files is very easy and would recommend to store files or even to backup your computer.

This hard drive is easy to use and holds a serious amount of data. I would definitely purchase again!

Item works as intended, installation is easy to do, the hard drive works with its independent power supplied by a transformer, the connection to the PC and the hard drive is with an USB cable that has an specific connector at the hard drive side. It makes an expected sound when writing or reading data.

Great Price for Western Digital external hard drive. Drives inside are usually non-tler white label hgst or wd reds. YMMV. As packaged works great as a reasonable fast mass storage backup only spinning up when needed. USB 3.0 but of course limited to the sata limits of the mechanical hard drive. 100-150 MB's maximum.

I was looking for additional back-up storage. I purchased the WD easystore 8TB Plug and Play Desktop back-up unit. My Linksys router has the USB port to allow the connection of storage that can then be shared across the network. I attached this drive to the router and set up the shares. This unit can also be used as a Media server. Files and Folders can be password protected. I would recommend this for a solid back-up solution.

Easy to setup for my Xbox one elite. It's fast and quiet. Definitely a must have for extra space.

I had to buy a new hard drive since a few of my older ones were starting to become defective, and I needed to back them up ASAP. I couldn’t just get any hard drive though, since I’m using an older Mac with Snow Leopard still! Thankfully this drive is compatible and it helped me save my files with no issue.

Lots of storage space and works great with my Xbox Series X. Only downside is newer games will not play from it unless they are moved to internal storage. Not a drive problem, but an Xbox problem. Still great storage for the price.

Needed a large external HD for my PS4. Works like a charm and was about 50% off on a doorbuster.

I was hesitant to get this hard drive at first, and don't regret my decision because I've been able to backup my current files from work, and still have plenty of space. I just wish it didn't have the AC Adapter, but that is a small price to pay.

I remember paying over $500 for a 64Mb hard drive and now I got this 8Tb drive for under $180. The setup was easy although I had to reformat it to use on my Mac. It runs fast and I'm able to use it as a backup for my other drives connected to my computer. I've never had a bad WD drive but have had many drives from another brand (starts with an S) go bad and I've lost lots of data. WD makes quality equipment at a great price.

Excellent product, easy tu use, high capacity memory

I absolutely love these Easystore drives of ANY size. The 8TB is a sweet spot for those that need a bunch of extra storage, but nothing too crazy. Best Buy sells this as a GREAT price if you stick around and watch. I highly recommend these drives. Beautiful, slick, small physical size with a HUGE internal storage capacity. Highly recommend.

Not much to say about this one. It's a Western Digital external drive. It is still kicking. WD makes the best!
