||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Once you format that drive out, the usable space comes out to 7.27 TB, as you loose space due to the formatting and the fact that the OS measures these devices using base 2, while the drive manufactures measure them using base 10. i.e. 1000^4 bytes (1 billion) is not 1024^4 (1,099,511,627,776). The difference is roughly 10%
