Opened case and removed hard drive. It is WD red hard drive as expected. Great performance.

Needed a big backup to upgrade to Windows 11 and this unit did the trick, plus tons more in space to consolidate other external hard drives.

Massive storage but I did have issues with Windows 7 and 10 64bit not immediately showing it in File Explorer, I had to go thru Devices (not to be confused with Device Manager) to initially access the storage and the WD setup files included. I believe it was more of an issue with Windows than WD Can also download files from WD.

I have purchased several of these over the years for data archives. Several of the drives that were purchased from Best Buy are still in service. I have five of these drives. The only one of these drives that gave me any trouble was purchased online from another vendor...NOT from Best Buy. Some are at lease years old.

Excellent storage capacity at 8tb at an arrordabke price!

These WD Easystore drives are great drives for storing media.. They're basically a Best Buy in-house labelled version of the WD Elements or WD My Book drives that are available through Amazon and other retailers. The drives inside the case are usually white-label WD Blues, Greens, or Reds, but your mileage may vary. Enjoy!

Easy set up. Enough space for gaming mods for now. I hope it lasts as well as other storage spaces I have purchased manufactured by this company.

This is my second WD 8TB drive. The last drive used the 2.0 and after upgrading my tower I wanted the speed of the 3.0 transfer rate. Just like the older model, this one is what I always expect from WD. Zooom.

Easy to set up. Backed up lots of files quickly. Is fast enough to work with Lightroom and Photoshop. Doesn't take up too much room on my desktop. Great price for 8T of storage. Comes with WD software to run automatic backups. I recommend it!

Great purchase for the price and need. A flash drive does not have the same capacity. Now I can store all of my Mp3,photos,software and other personal data. I can't wait to share my great purchase with all of my friends. Maybe they will want to purchase a hard drive of their own with the same capacity. Thank you verymuch.

WD 8TB Hard Drive is very good. USB 3.0 is Fast speed. And 8TB heavy Storage. Good.

Purchased 2 at a great price for a 3rd copy of critical data (high channel count audio recordings). They work great for their purpose. Did not want the backup software, nice that we had a choice not to use it. Exactly why we bought easystore version of the WD drives. Thanks WD for a quality, high volume external drive without the extra nuisance. IT liked it enough to purchase one for personal use.
