Putchased this when it was a daily deal (and of course the store’s price wasn’t the same as the online price but this seems to be the norm at this particular store - just make sure YOU know the price so that you can request a price match). The only difference between this and the WD My Book 8TB from what I can tell is that this one doesn’t have hardware based encryption. Inside is a WD Red NAS drive which is a high quality drive and will take a beating since they are built to withstand 24x7 operation. If you’re able to get it when it’s a daily deal then jump on it...if you need it sooner and it’s cheaper than the WD My Book and you can forgo the hardware based encryption then this is the better drive. The My Books don’t typically have the WD Red drives. If you look at the price of a comparable bare bones WD Red you’ll usually find that you can get the same size cheaper by getting in the EasyStore.

Quality I have come to expect from WD. Could not have been any easier to add storage to my desktop. Just plug it in and partition if desired.

Are you kidding me! I paid around $120 for an 8TB external hard drive!!! I’ve used smaller portable versions of this brand for 15 years with no issues. This was used to consolidate my mother’s CD collection. Easy to set up and use. If she can use it at over 70 years old, anyone can. Excellent bang for your buck.

I can store so many music files in this drive, however, I use it to store 8K pictures of various restaurant appetizers, most of the drive is filled with mozzy sticks. If you need any recipes, find them in recipe books!

I have 3 of these. I use them for backing up important Windows 10 files as well as iPhone and iPad photos. One of them uses Memeo Backup Premium. The other two are for air gapped storage. They are only connected when I physically transfer files. The USB 3.0 drives are fairly fast.

I needed a large enough hard drive so as not to worry about storing millions of baby pics and videos. It was very easy and fast to back up my MacBook. Great stuff.

I needed this to store large files such as movies, I have more movies than I could ever find time to watch and still have Terrabytes to spare. I also back up my 1TB internal hard drive in case of a crash. I'm not a gamer but this would work for them as well.

I purchased this Black Friday deal for $130. I usually prefer Seagate due to problems I had years ago with Western Digital hard drives failing . I am only trying this one out because of the price. I will be using this with Xbox One S to store games. I wouldn’t pay regular price though. Still a devoted Seagate owner. I’ve never had any problems with Seagate harddrives! They last for years.

Nice drive and has always been reliable. Some of the models I've had click a bit but SMART / checks say they're fine. Other than some excess noise they've been perfect.

I purchased this hard drive as a gift for my son to use as an external drive with his PS4. I have purchased other WD external drives and they have worked great.

This external backup harddrive works great for my business. It is easy to install and operate.

On and running out of the box, Good amount of space at a great price point. Using for my system backups. I think it’s on the slower side and that’s what you should expect from a spinning drive but for backup not a problem at all. Would recommend!!!

This is a great product for the price. It works on PS4 and PS5. I would recommend to anyone looking to expand their storage for a decent price for really good product.

I have not purchased 3 of these and am still very please with the size and speed of them. I did by a USB-C connector cable and I can move large files with ease. This is the most expensive one I have paid for of the 3 in my Opinion it still worth the price for Secure backup of my data.
