Plugged it into my PS4 and now have a LOT of space. Worked great, really plug and play.

Working great for backing up my movies on Plex 8TB on sale for $129 thank you Best Buy.

USB external hard drives aren't a flashy piece of tech, but their benefits are huge. Personally, I am using this drive on an Xbox Series X for storage of my Xbox One library. I had recently outgrown a 4TB drive and the 1TB internal storage on my One X was maxed out, so 8TB on sale was the next logical jump. Being able to hold your library and GamePass games locally is great. Load times are good, but obviously not as great as SSD. As a spinning HDD, there will be some drive noise. Mine was sitting on an entertainment cabinet shelf and just having the drive on was noticeable. I then found that if I bore out a hole behind the cabinet and lay the drive on its side on top of some styrofoam tape, the drive noise is all but gone. Obviously, everyone's situation varies, but for me, this was a fairly easy fix. I also have two of these drives that I've shucked and am using in a RAID configuration in a personal server at home. In that scenario, they are pretty quiet, as they are in a cool basement closet, and have been in use for about a year and a half now. I can easily recommend these drives to anyone looking for additional space.

Easy to set up. Backed up lots of files quickly. Is fast enough to work with Lightroom and Photoshop. Doesn't take up too much room on my desktop. Great price for 8T of storage. Comes with WD software to run automatic backups. I recommend it!

So far so good. I've been using WD drives for my business for years and I've never had an issue with them losing files or malfunctioning so I'm confident this one will be just as great. Easy to set up and works quickly saving files.

This external hard drive works well and is easy to use. Although the first time I brought my computer to Best Buy for them to back it up, they didn't actually do it and the hard drive was empty when I got home. I brought my computer back a second time and that time they actually backed it up.

It is very easy to use, It also holds a lot of data.

I have purchased several of these over the years for data archives. Several of the drives that were purchased from Best Buy are still in service. I have five of these drives. The only one of these drives that gave me any trouble was purchased online from another vendor...NOT from Best Buy. Some are at lease years old.

WD 8TB Hard Drive is very good. USB 3.0 is Fast speed. And 8TB heavy Storage. Good.

These WD Easystore drives are great drives for storing media.. They're basically a Best Buy in-house labelled version of the WD Elements or WD My Book drives that are available through Amazon and other retailers. The drives inside the case are usually white-label WD Blues, Greens, or Reds, but your mileage may vary. Enjoy!

Putchased this when it was a daily deal (and of course the store’s price wasn’t the same as the online price but this seems to be the norm at this particular store - just make sure YOU know the price so that you can request a price match). The only difference between this and the WD My Book 8TB from what I can tell is that this one doesn’t have hardware based encryption. Inside is a WD Red NAS drive which is a high quality drive and will take a beating since they are built to withstand 24x7 operation. If you’re able to get it when it’s a daily deal then jump on it...if you need it sooner and it’s cheaper than the WD My Book and you can forgo the hardware based encryption then this is the better drive. The My Books don’t typically have the WD Red drives. If you look at the price of a comparable bare bones WD Red you’ll usually find that you can get the same size cheaper by getting in the EasyStore.

Purchased 2 at a great price for a 3rd copy of critical data (high channel count audio recordings). They work great for their purpose. Did not want the backup software, nice that we had a choice not to use it. Exactly why we bought easystore version of the WD drives. Thanks WD for a quality, high volume external drive without the extra nuisance. IT liked it enough to purchase one for personal use.

Stores files like you'd expect. Software is included on the device, had to restart before it worked as it should after installation. Overall great way to keep your media.

Great purchase for the price and need. A flash drive does not have the same capacity. Now I can store all of my Mp3,photos,software and other personal data. I can't wait to share my great purchase with all of my friends. Maybe they will want to purchase a hard drive of their own with the same capacity. Thank you verymuch.
