    I have to go online and do some sort of download to get the thing to work. I thought it was like other units I have had: you plug it in, it appears in your toolbar and the back ups are automatic. It took me awhile to get to it or I might have returned it.

    I bought this and backed up all of my information. Now, it is simply broken. The hard drive seems to have failed. I am trying to contact Western Digital to see about warranty options.
