Very easy to use. Simple plug & play. Lots of storage for backup and files.

I bought this drive when it came on sale giving it a low price per storage unit. I used it to create a private cloud and it works just fine for that purpose where a large capacity but not high speed is required. I am not implying here that the drive is slow, just that there are faster drives out there but their speed would not make a difference in my application.

Not much to say, it's a wd drive so its usually reliable. One of the main reasons to be buying this drive should be for archival purposes, don't be expecting ssd speeds here. I should elaborate, it's not a slow drive. Speed should be fine for most people's uses.

There hasn't been a single problem with it. I didn't use any preinstalled programs before reformatting it, but for anyone looking for something for their PS4, this works great. Though, since it uses its own cable, you won't be able to just simply get a longer one, so keep it close to the system.

work fine. when i format for ps4 external storage, my computer doesnt recognize it when plug back into computer. but with a quick search online, i found out how to fix it with a little extra fiddling around. this is gonna last 20 years worth of storage, so i am happy.

This product is easy to set up and use. Everything functions as it should. Very fast when using USB 3.0.

8Tb is huge and usb 3.0 makes this a great addition to my XBox One!

The WD BLACK 8TB storage drive was s a bit hole lot of storage for a very low price. This is a no brainer.

The HDD contained (at least in my unit) was a WD Red which I have been using for years in other applications without issue. This backup has been on constant cycle for about six months now without any hiccups or issues. It runs as cool as I would have expected. I have no reservations about the drive or its reliability based on past performance of WD products.

The WD 8TB External USB Hard Drive is good for storing old files, images, and videos.

Got room for everything now, this is easy to set up and very quier.

Tons of storage packed in a little package. I love the design and it sits perfectly on my desk. I use these external Hard Drives for game systems and Computer systems with ease. Some systems may take a bit of formatting. Not noisy like some other external HDDs

Great drive for Mac Time Machine backup - reformat for Mac using Disk Utility. Really good value for 8TB! Quieter and better value than the other WD 8TB.

I bought this for a plex server (ATX NAS). It had a western digital EDAZ drive. It works well and is in RAID 0 with another EDAZ drive in my Plex server. Cheap storage, easy to shuck. Buy this if you need more storage.

Really great way to add capacity without having to deal with opening the computer. Works great and having actual power adapter means you aren't working your power supply to death.

I recently moved from a full size gaming PC to a laptop, and I had a terabyte of photo's and music that I had to transfer from one to the other. I decided this was the best way to go, so if I ever go to another desktop again - no transferring!
