Not WD80EMAZ Drives

As of 9/2021 WD looks to be using WD80EMZZ drives in these with 128MB Cache. I don't know if these are CMR or SMR as there doesn't seem to be any info on these drives. This drive should be priced around $130 vs $160-$170.

Shuck'em if you got'em

Instead, I removed the drive from inside and used it as an internal 8TB HDD. Which worked great. Runs cooler and should have a longer life than using it in the case.

Cheap storage and quiet.

Use these Drives for years.

I got this to use with my time machine. I had drives like this before so I had great confidence when making my purchase.

Over kill...

The only complaint I have is that it's a bit bulky and looks a little out of place in my entertainment center. That aside I'd get another one of needed, but I don't think I'll need to for some time.
