Good large spaced backup drive at low cost

The only caveat is that the drive does power down or sleeps after a certain number of minutes of inactivity. With scheduled backups this can be problematic and cause a backup failure, which I have experienced already.

Love the 8T size

Still have several room fore more will purchase another one when this becomes filled. Does have great speed for everything movies music documents would recommend to s friend.

Cannot recommend

Takes a long time before it reappears. I have multiple WD hard drives but would not buy this one again. Not sure if it is just a bad drive but just purchased it in January and am very disappointed that it is inconsistent.

Great storage capacity for a great price

That being said, transfer speeds seem to be faster than those of the smaller portable hard drives, which do not require being plugged in.

Great backup system, very easy

The software was easy to install and setup. How does it restore backups? Who knows, haven't had to do that yet, hopefully I won't have to.

NOT PlayStation 4 Compatible

This drive is actually 8.1 TB which is actually not a bad thing at all but i gave this a 1 star so you can read this if you want to use it for the PS4. My rating is only based on that i do not need it for my MacBook.
