I purchase this drive to replace a couple of my 2tb drive. and I will love them..

Worked exactly as expected. Just plug it in and it is available, with USB 3.0 speeds. About 10x faster than USB 2. Needed to copy data to it, to ship out to a data recovery company. Worked great for our intended use.

8TB for the price of 4TB (or 6), best value for money if you don't mind the old design

Steady and reliable, good for stable connections. Not self powered from the USB port but sits next to the computer, blends in with the other "full sized" external HD units I have, along with a handful of portable HDs.

This is so much less than the competition and it is WD! Have two and very pleased.

This WD 8TB drive is awesome. It is exactly what I needed to store video. I have had not issues with transfer speed or playback. The drive integrity is solid so far. I bought this on a sale and highly recommend.

This the fourth drive I have purchased. I am a Videographer and use a lot of disk space. This drive allows me to dump completed projects off my computer while still allowing access to the files whenever needed. Highly recommend this drive.

This WD 8 TB external hard drive was trouble free with zero installation or compatibility issues with my Win7Pro computer. Simply plug in the included power cable and included USB 3.0 cable and go. Plenty fast and I was able to backup all my digital photos with ease. I'm only giving this drive four out of five stars because the price jumped back up. When this thing goes on sale jump on it.

Can't beat the price of these if you catch them on sale.

I purchased this drive after much research. After about a month in use, I found this drive to work great. The spin up time is a little slower than some other drives, but the transfer speed appears to be noticeably higher as well. These contain WD Red Drives.

This product was a much better purchase then the WD with the password protected. This one is not password-protected so the connection is not lost and have to be reestablished like the WD One I previously bought that does have password protection

Great hard drive with a huge capacity. Works perfectly with my laptop.

$/TB ratio is good. large capacity usb 3.0 form factor better than wdc equivalent

Lots of space and great for routine back up of important data.

Easy to formats to store games and stuff from Xbox. Works great.

This hard drive is really good. Sequential Read speed is 212 MB/s and Write speed is about 195 MB/s. Would highly recommend it.

I've had this for a couple of months, use it as a backup drive to my WD Mycloud Storage Unit. The My Cloud allows you to connect an external Hard Drive and setup automatic backups. Unit has been working perfectly. Fast, quite and efficient.
