I bought this for a plex server (ATX NAS). It had a western digital EDAZ drive. It works well and is in RAID 0 with another EDAZ drive in my Plex server. Cheap storage, easy to shuck. Buy this if you need more storage.

I recently moved from a full size gaming PC to a laptop, and I had a terabyte of photo's and music that I had to transfer from one to the other. I decided this was the best way to go, so if I ever go to another desktop again - no transferring!

Picked this up at a great price so can't go wrong for the size

My wife is a photographer of wildlife mostly and she takes a lot of pictures. she has run out of space on two tera byte drives, so I purchased this to make up more space. She absolutely loves it this extra space for her editing of the pictures.

Have had these for years and they are still working like day one. This product is amazing for long term storage of media files or precious family memories

Easy to install, perfect size, and a very good price for 8 TB

So far, so good - easy to use product, good value and product as described.

Got it at a great sale price, less than a 4TB unit. I don't have USB 3 on this computer, but it works fine at USB 2. Initial transfer of huge batch of files did take a long time (overnight), after that the auto backup and regular access to files is indistinguishable from my hard drive (which works better now that I moved so many files off it).

Fast external backup drive for several of my computers. Works well, as it should. It takes time to determine reliability, which is critical for backup storage.

It was more than what I was needing at the time but it's always better to have more room than not enough for extra/back up storage space.

Price tends to move around on this drive, but when I purchased it it was by far the cheapest way of getting so much storage for your money. High quality WD Red drive in an enclosure that can be easily dismantled if you want to place in your home NAS or similar. Have already put it through it's paces and have been very happy with the results.

Overall easy set up. I am still working on getting everything I want backed up. I have not found how to get Google photos to back up to the drive. But at this piont I am blaming myself. make sure the setting are set. mine was only backing up the os at first.

Got a great price for a ton of storage. Works flawlessly.

Drive was purchased when on sale for $179.99. Very good price point. Intended use is for Xbox one X game installs and transfer. Performance and speed has been very good when transferring data from the internal drive on my Xbox One Elite to this unit. Also, no discernable noise can be heard from the drive from our normal sitting position.

If you need large external storage at a decent price, this is a pretty good option. Not a super-fast drive and not necessarily built like a tank but, if those aren't your needs, then this drive will do just fine. Easy to set up and reliable operation. I purchased two for some backup needs and all has worked just fine.

I bought this for my XB1 as my 2TB was overfull. I managed to snag this on a sale. It has worked OK. A few times it has not registered with the XBOX right away, but that seems to have worked itself out. As long as it lasts through the warranty period and then some I will be happy. Wait for a sale, and good luck running out of room! LOL
