These external hard drives are a good value for the size. Good for shucking and using as an internal hard drive.

No problems with it so far. If I haven't used the computer for awhile, sometimes I have to wait a few seconds for the drive to load up and be accessible.

fast convient western digital what else do I have I 've been buying western digital hard drives since the late 1980's never have I had a problem

WD Easystore has a solid build and is not too heavy. The read/write speeds are great. I would recommend this hard drive to everyone

Bought to back up an iMac, needed help from WD to initially make storage compatible. iMac updated and now time machine doesn’t update to easystore. I’m sure it can be fixed, it’s just not that intuitive to make it work.

Great little external drive, but if you ar planning on shucking the drive mine came with a WD White Drive not the WD Red that older ones came with and it would not work plug-n-play as an internal drive...

This was a really nice sale on this external drive. It's a pretty quick transfer with the USB 3 that's included. It's sleek and compact.

Is a good external hard drive came with schedule backup. This is the WD - Easystore 8TB External USB 3.0 Hard Drive - Black. Easy setup. I have had it for one month now. So for no problem. I Would recommend this to a friend.

I bought this, dissembled it and took out the hard drive to use it with my computer build, I saved 100+ dollars doing so.

Worked well at first, then started to say it couldn't back up. To be fair, could be user error. Not sure what's going on but I swtiched to a digital cloud service because I couldn't risk losing all of my business files.

Good enough speed for an external drive. Large storage makes it a no brainier for back up and miscellaneous storage needs.

The memory capacity is excellent for saving videos and pictures. I can save without worrying of running out of space.

This was a great investment. It is great to know I have a backup of the documents, photographs, and videos that are most important to me.

Goes on sale periodically making it a really great deal. Only downside is after a while if not being used it goes to sleep so next time you go to access it it can take 10-15 seconds to wake up. Perfect for a backup drive.

I feel I made a very good choice with this hard drive. It is fast and reliable and the price was right. I will buy another one soon.
