Using this as a backup drive for video footage. Not editing off of it but so far it's done the job.

It's a pretty self explanatory item. Large capacity at 8 TB, easy to connect, easy to install, easy to use, and most of all, FAST. Plus, very affordable. I am thoroughly pleased with this purchase.

Does exactly what it is intended for. Pretty much just unbox, plug it in and start using it. I used this to replace a flaky WD Game Drive and after several days/weeks or heavy usage it's still cranking as expected.

Fast external backup drive for several of my computers. Works well, as it should. It takes time to determine reliability, which is critical for backup storage.

This is a must buy if you're looking for a reliable and fast external USB 3.0 drive. The hard drive inside the enclosure is a WD 8TB Red NAS drive. Use it as is as an external drive or remove the hard drive and put in your NAS or in your PC. Make sure you wait for it to be on sale so you can get at a great price too.

8TB Easystore (BestBuy exclusive product line) uses quality 5400RPM helium filled Red (WD80EFAX) or white label (WD80EMAZ) drives, these have NAS/RAID features (i.e. TLER) that are important for some uses. The high-capacity drives are a great value, especially during frequent sales. Thai produced drives have 256MB of cache. Runs a bit hot in the plastic enclosure, not much room inside. If you plan on writing TBs of data at once, keeping a fan blowing over the drive may help. For my use case (NAS/media servers), both red and white label drives worked out really well (no 3.3v issues with 3 of my EMAZ) in my Dell R510, with Unraid directly accessing/managing disks via H200 adapter flashed to IT mode.

I bought 2 of these for my Son and saved a boatload of money from the Holiday Sale at BestBuy. He also bought 2 to use as backups for the first set. He has tons of movies that require a lot of storage and requested this model. I shopped around and couldn't find a sleeker design or a better price anywhere.

Having this drive, a second one. The first was for my photos, and second one, is back up the PC system and relevant files.

A bit slow booting up but that’s expected since its a HDD but other than that it runs smoothly was able to move all of my data on to this and it made it so much easier to have everything on one drive rather than having different flash drives
